Newest I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here contestant Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins cops a brutal bite from a large snake in a horrifying preview clip from tonight's episode.
In the brief clip, former rugby great Cummins is participating in one of the show’s many challenges that involve sticking your hand, blind, into a box that houses a dangerous animal.
In Cummins’ case, the animal is a very large python – which strikes, clamping its jaw around his hand.
Cummins is shown grimacing in pain as the snake doesn’t let go – instead, twisting its body around his arm.
“Let’s go! Oh, my goodness,” host Julia Morris can be heard shouting to the show’s crew in the background.
“Are you OK?” co-host Dr. Chris Brown asks Cummins – rather a redundant question when someone has a large python wrapped around their arm and sinking its teeth into their hand.
Cummins isn’t the first contestant to cop a snake bite on I’m A Celeb: Actress and singer Toni Pearen was repeatedly bitten on the face by multiple snakes as she participated in a challenge on the 2021 season.
Viewers slammed Ten for airing the “distressing” footage – and one of this season’s contestants, Ian “Dicko” Dickson, recently revealed to news.com.au that watching it had left him so traumatised it kept him from agreeing to take part in the show for another two years.
Cummins’ full, terrifying encounter with the angry python will play out in tonight’s episode of I’m A Celeb. Watch the preview clip below, if you can stomach it:

Meanwhile, Dicko made headlines in last night’s episode of the show, opening up about a TV scandal that’s followed him for 20 years: The Paulini ‘gold dress’ controversy from his first season as a judge on Australian Idol back in 2003.
He told the 20-year-old hopeful she “should choose more appropriate clothes or shed some pounds”, sparking a national controversy as viewers accused him of fat-shaming.
“You’ve got to accept responsibility, you know? In that long society struggle, I’m one of the villains, and I can’t change that. I’d like to have learned from it; I’d like the world to have learned from it,” Dicko said, as he broke down in tears.
And he insisted he had changed his ways.
“I certainly don’t have the slightest inkling of bailing someone up for the way they look these days.”
I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here continues 7:30pm tonight on Ten.
