Model Hailey Bieber has started dressing like her husband, Justin Bieber, in a bizarre turn of events.
Bieber, 30, is known for his quirky, often borderline troubling, style. He’ll pop on multiple head coverings and wear a tracksuit while his wife Hailey is in a skin-tight dress.
When they step out together, they often create a comical contrast, as if they’re heading to entirely different events. Bieber might appear ready for a game of laser tag, while Hailey exudes the elegance of a soap star attending The Logies.
It’s become their thing.
Well, not anymore; Hailey’s decided to take the “if you can’t beat them, join them” approach to her wardrobe.
The famous couple were spotted at Coachella together, and besides attending the festival for the music, the place has also become a fashion moment.
Usually, famous women attend and wear skimpy yet glam outfits that make headlines, but Hailey decided to dress like her husband instead.
She’s popped on some oversized track pants that are dragging on the ground, a bold choice because surely everyone can agree that whatever is lurking on the ground at a festival is not something you want your clothes to be touching.
Hailey’s also decided to wear an oversized jacket that is so large on her that it makes her look like one of those people in a weight loss commercial who shows viewers how their old clothes don’t fit them anymore.
Then she went the absolute extra mile and wore a red baseball hat with a leopard scarf draped around it.
Yes, she’s opted for multiple head coverings. She looks an absolute trick.
Hailey’s even embraced those giant oversized sneakers that Bieber loves and rocked them. The whole look is quite eye-catching.
On the one hand, she looks like she got dressed in the dark; on the other hand, is this the most clever fashion move you can make?
She’s gone so against the festival grain, which is usually wearing something see-through, that now she’s setting a trend.
Ultimately, though, it does seem like she’s dressed like a private schoolboy who has just discussed rap music and is now really embracing the oversized trend and getting it a bit wrong, which is kind of Bieber’s whole style.
Before Hailey decided to start dressing like her husband, there was so much hype around the fact that they dressed so differently that memes were being made.
She addressed the hysteria around their mismatched fashion in an interview. Hailey toldGQ Hype she understands they look like they dress like they are from “two separate planets” but still finds it amusing that people comment on it.
“He may want to wear baggy sweats to dinner, and I might want to wear a tiny little dress just because that’s how I’m feeling. We can’t sit there and be like, ‘So I’m going to wear this, and you’re going to wear this,” she said.
