Breakfast broadcaster Christian O’Connell has continued his winning streak on the FM dial, according to the latest radio ratings, but rivals Fox FM and Nova made big gains in their bid to take the top spot.
Gold 104.3 star O’Connell took a 10.3 per cent share cementing his show as the No.1 performer in the FM breakfast slot, GFK survey figures, released on Tuesday, said.
Radio kings 3AW’s Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft rule the airwaves overall with an 18.9 per cent share, but their numbers took a tumble, down from 22.5 per cent for the last survey.
3AW morning host Neil Mitchell won his slot with an 18.5 per cent share.
Elsewhere on the FM dial, Fox’s Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Nick Cody jumped 2.1 points to score a 9.6 per cent share.
Nova’s Chrissie Swan, Jonathan Brown and Sam Pang also got a ratings bump, up 1.7 points for a 9.2 share.
3AW’s Tom Elliott and Gold’s Dave ‘Higgo’ Higgins both had an 11.4 per cent share with their respective drive programs, followed by Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little on Fox (9.7) and Nova’s Kate Ritchie, Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey (8.9)
