Former tennis ace Mark Philippoussis has revealed his dramatic weight loss weeks after filming military inspired series SAS Australia.

In the mirror selfie posted to Instagram, 44-year-old Philippoussis wrote: “SAS aftermath – never been so excited to watch my ass get kicked,” alongside a flexed bicep emoji.

He was inundated with messages from fellow cast members.

Former Home And Away star Dan Ewing wrote, “Rigs of SAS calendar has started on (with fire emojis)”.

Sam Burgess wrote: “Absolute machine”.

Kerri Pottharst wrote: “How much did you lose?” to which he replied “Just over 6kg.”

SAS chief instructor Ollie Otterton wrote: “SAS – Super Ab Solutions!”

Aussie tennis star Thanasi Kokkinakis wrote: “There he is! Get it big man.”

One follower wrote: “Hope the experience was worth the pain..... what an adventure for both body and mind,” to which he replied: “100”.

The series will also star Ironman Jett Kenny, Olympic runner John Steffensen, actor and singer Bonnie Anderson, volleyball champion Kerri Pottharst, Bra Boy Koby Abberton and singer Pete Murray.

Filming for the new series has already wrapped up, with this year’s training camp being in the much warmer location of the Blue Mountains.

Seven decided not to use last year’s location in Jindabyne, where temperatures reach as low as minus three degrees.
