The date has been fixed for when the final episode of Neighbours will hit screens.
The beloved Australian TV soap’s last episode will air on 10 Peach on August 1, 2022.
As of Monday, June 13, 10 will start airing double episodes of the much loved drama from Monday to Thursday on Peach to bring the show in Australia into sync with its roll out in the UK.
The countdown is very much on for the final walk down Ramsay Street.
August 1 will be a sad and historic mark for Australian TV, as the show, which has been made in Melbourne for 37 years disappears from screens.
The screening of the last episode will come seven weeks after Neighbours’ production shuts down on Friday, June 10.
It is understood the final episode is still being written and hopes are high some of the show’s biggest stars will return for cameo appearances as the drama heads to its curtain call.
Neighbours has been a launching pad to international success for the likes of Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Guy Pearce, Margot Robbie, Natalie Imbruglia, Alan Dale, Jesse Spencer, Liam Hemsworth, Dichen Lachman and Delta Goodrem.
