Love is in the air at Punt Road with a new young Tiger couple making their romance public at the races yesterday.
Richmond young gun Sydney Stack and his girlfriend, Richmond AFLW player, Monique Conti, swapped footy jumpers for racewear at the Blue Diamond Stakes Day at Caulfield.
“He looks good in his outfit,” Conti said of Stack.
“He has got great taste in fashion; whatever he puts on he looks good in it.”
She said the pair had a great understanding of each other.
“We have a lot in common in all different aspects, especially football,” she said.
“We have a lot of shared interests and are really good for each other and we motivate each other.
“We are both really happy and I think that is what is really important in a relationship is that you are happy.”
“He trains in the morning and throughout the day and I am there in evening so we do cross paths sometimes at the club.
Conti, an ambassador for the All Star Mile, will be back at Caulfield for the race on March 14.
She said after a slow start Richmond’s AFLW team was improving.
Conti and Stack revealed their romance blossomed over shared injury woes.
“I was in doing some rehab for my ankle and Sydney walked in and asked how I was going,” Conti said.
“We sort of had the same injury,” Stack said.
“We understand each other when we come home buggered and we can’t be bothered.”
