Stellar Perry reveals Voice finalists all ‘winners’
COVID-19 restrictions mean The Voice grand final won’t be a live TV spectacular this year but the winner will be announced on Sunday night, however Victorian contestant Stellar Perry says no matter the outcome, “there were no losers”.

Powerhouse Victorian singer Stellar Perry has revealed she is already a winner despite The Voice grand final yet to air.
In a twist caused by the COVID-19 restrictions, The Voice grand final is not a live TV spectacular this year and all finalists — Perry, Chris Sebastian, Johnny Manuel, and Siala Robson, have been filmed being announced as the winner. The actual winner will be determined by public votes and will be edited into the show tonight.
“It was a weird situation pretending to have won,” Perry, 36, said. “I am not good at faking things, I am not a good liar or an actor.
“But surprisingly we all just leaned into it and we all enjoyed the opportunity to feel like we had won this. We all had that moment when the streamers explode and fireworks go off and we get to sing our winner’s single.
“There were no losers and whatever happens tonight that is what I will take away with me. We were all winners at one point.”
Geelong-based Perry, who works as an industrial cleaner, said The Voice had reinvigorated her love for music after she lost focus and passion.
“As you get older I guess you put your dreams to one side and move on with life,” she said. “I got married five or six years ago and there was something about hitting 30 that I thought, ‘now I need to settle down’.
“Now I have broken away from the marriage, it is literally me and my two dogs flying solo. Now is my time to make myself the priority and do what I want to do. I am not living my life for anyone else anymore. I just have to make myself happy.”
