Former Hawthorn champion Shane Crawford has promised footy, not tomfoolery, will be the star of his new show Full Time.
Crawford will host the show with Ayrton Woolley and is hopeful that James Hird will be among guests casting their eye over the weekend AFL games.
Crawford and Hird filmed the original pilot for the show in December 2018.
“It is not a footy show where we are trying to make people laugh and entertain, we are just going to go through the games and what we saw and try to give everyone a half hour snapshot of the round on a Sunday night,” Crawford said.
“Football is the star, we just want to talk footy.
“I am still hopeful James Hird will be part of the show. He is very aware of it but, obviously, time is the factor there.
“The whole idea came from James and myself wanting to talk footy hot off the press and to have a footy show where there is a good hearty discussion around the game that we love.”
At a time when Channel Seven is closing or putting on hold its football shows, Full Time will launch at 8pm on Sunday, June 14 on 9Now.
The show was originally set to launch in March but was put on hold after Crawford was subbed into Ninja Warrior Australia when co-host Rebecca Maddern had to undergo a COVID-19 test.
