Sex scene hits stars of Shane Warne telemovie for six

The stars of the Shane Warne telemovie were rushed to hospital from the set after the filming of a sex scene went balls-up.

A sex scene injury on the set of the Shane Warne telemovie resulted in the show’s lead actors being rushed to hospital during filming in Melbourne.

The bedroom high jinks gone wrong saw Alex Williams, who plays Warne in the Channel 9 drama, suffer a cut to the head and Marny Kennedy, who portrays Simone Warne, nursing a broken wrist.

The telemovie, called Warnie, was filmed in Melbourne late last year.

“It was during a little makeout scene from when they (Shane and Simone) were younger,” Kennedy revealed.

“We were going down a corridor and we were meant to push into the bedroom and land on the bed, but we both completely missed the bed.

“Alex cracked the back of his head open and I broke my right wrist.

“We ended up sitting in the emergency room together, he with a bandage around head and me with my wrist strapped.

“It was not like a normal hospital either, it was more of a place for the elderly, so it was just Alex and I with our bleached hair, fully still in wardrobe, sitting there surrounded by elderly residents.”

The pair, who have been friends for a decade, were back on set the following day nursing their injuries and saw the funny side to the unfortunate mishap.

“We took a photo of ourselves in the emergency room and then printed it onto mugs and that was our wrap (end of filming) gift to a lot of the crew,” Kennedy said.

The two-part Warnie telemovie will screen on 9 in the coming weeks.
