‘Most Sexually Active Woman’ spices up Flemington Birdcage, as young Melbourne arrives trackside
An ex Melbourne private schoolgirl — now on OnlyFans and who wears the crown of Australia’s most promiscuous woman, with 300 intimate partners a year — has spiced up the Cup carnival.

Young Melburnians spread their wings at Flemington during this year’s Cup carnival.
From Sam Freedman training the winner of the Melbourne Cup, Without A Fight, in partnership with his dad Anthony, to the plethora of rising social media stars and offspring of noted business, entertainment, sport and society families promenading in the Birdcage, there was a wave of fresh faces making their mark on race week.
Emerging from the Birdcage throng was Annie Knight, a glamorous blonde from the Mornington Peninsula, although now based in Queensland, who bears the title of ‘Australia’s Most Sexually Active Woman’. She claims to have had an exhausting total of 300 intimate partners in a year and is making a fortune as a creator on the adult subscription site OnlyFans.
Knight was the life of the party in the Schweppes marquee on Cup Day, perched with mates near the DJ podium in a hot pink corset.
The former Loretto Mandeville Hall student whose ex-boyfriends include Henry Brayshaw, son of Channel 7’s James Brayshaw, is something of a social media marketing genius. Her latest escapade is going one date per week for 12 months and documenting her experiences on TikTok.
Meanwhile, Melbourne’s most stylish young couple is clearly Jake Waislitz and Ava Fried.
Ava is the daughter of Zac and Rebecca Fried while Jake is the grandson of Richard Pratt - his parents are Alex Waislitz and Heloise Pratt. Ava was a stand out best dressed in the Lexus marquee on Cup Day in blue with a pillbox hat.
A shout out to Erin Deering. Derby Day may have been the Triangl swimwear founder’s first experience of Cup Week but nailed the brief in a modern, designer take on chic racewear.
The much hyped special guest of the VRC on Derby Day, Count Nikolai of Monpezat (aka Princess Mary’s nephew) was a bit of a fizzer. Charming and very polite, the media pack quickly realised it was dealing with a 24-year-old uni student with no chirpy sound bites to share and moved on
Fast becoming a guest list favourite, influencer Hannah Dal Sasso showed she understands event dressing looking terrific at Schweppes on Cup Day.
A regular on Next Top Model in Greece, Mary Vitinaros was hard to miss at Lexus during the week. At 185cm in height, Vitinaros literally towered over the room. The former Miss Universe Australia national finalist has returned to Melbourne after several years abroad and is definitely a name to watch.
At Mumm, Ashleigh Bright, the wife of ex-Hawthorn footballer Josh Gibson, was a bubbly guest in blush pink dress that took inspiration from the ‘60s mod look.
Olympian Peter Bol and his partner Mahtut Yaynu were in demand marquee guests on Cup Day. His popularity remains sky high.
One of the most interesting rumours of the day was that super chef Curtis Stone had been seriously considered by Channel 10 as the successor to Dr Chris Brown as co-host of I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here. Apparently he did audition with host Julia Morris and knocked everyone’s socks off.
Stone’s Gwen restaurant in the Birdcage, managed beautifully by his brother Luke, was magnificent.
Cup Week has been a huge success although a couple of observations.
The slackening of the race day dress code is a poor decision by the VRC. Racing is one of the few events where aspirational dressing and acknowledgment of tradition is - and should be - encouraged.
Letting men wear shorts in the Members areas is a move in the wrong direction. Maintaining a dress standard is not something to be ashamed of.
Meanwhile, the ‘sheer look’ loophole has allowed a number of celebrities to flaunt bras, bums and belly buttons while remaining (just) within the VRC Member’s dress code.
If that loophole does not get amended next year I’m expecting someone to turn up in the Birdcage in a Triangl bikini with a Booby Tape patch over their navel, sheer sheath over the top of their ‘sports luxe look’ and a fascinator on their head.
The VRC’s determination to ‘degender’ Oaks Day is also peculiar. The club no longer markets Oaks Day as ‘Ladies Day’, is trying to reposition it as a business networking day and this year encouraged racegoers to wear purple not pink.
Sorry, but this is a wheel that does not need reinventing. Stick with the Ladies Day selling point.
