AFLW headliner Moana Hope is still excited to make family plans with her partner despite the coronavirus crisis and says she won’t let a pandemic stop the pair’s baby dreams.

AFLW headliner turned reality TV star Moana Hope is not going to let the coronavirus crisis shatter her plan to have a child with her model wife, Isabella Carlstrom.

Carlstrom has undergone three IVF treatments and so far has been unsuccessful falling pregnant.

However the couple is positive that family is part of their future and they are committed to continuing with the IVF journey.

“We have not been successful a couple of times which is normal; it is completely normal,” Hope said.

“We reset after every time we give it a go and then we try again.

“We are still in the process and fingers crossed it will happen when it is meant to happen.

“I think what if you let what is going on (the COVID-19 crisis) get to you I think mentally you are already putting yourself in a bad, negative place.

“We are staying positive.

“If we are blessed enough to be pregnant this year and have a baby this year that is pretty epic, so for me it is life as usual, just take care of my family and the people I love.”

Hope has made it through to the grand finale of Australian Survivor: All Stars alongside David Genat and Sharn Coombes, which airs on Channel 10 on Monday.

“I did outlast and I did outplay,” Hope said of making it to the grand finale.

“When I first went on (Survivor) I had a lot of doubters and now I can say, well, I guess I deserve to be there and don’t write me off next time.

She said growing up in a big family and being naturally competitive had been the perfect preparation for Survivor.

“I grew up with 14 brothers and sisters so I know how to fit in and I also know how to pick a liar, and I also know how to steal some food,” Hope said.

“So if I just did that pretty quietly I thought I would do quite well.”

She said shows like Survivor were important during this challenging time of community shutdown.

“I think it is going to be the perfect distraction for everyone,” Hope said.

“With all the craziness that is going on, having a TV show to take people’s minds off all the craziness that is going on for an hour or so is a really positive thing.”
