Lord Mayor Sally Capp will be among the business elite setting sail on trucking mogul Lindsay Fox’s birthday super cruise next month.
Capp and her husband Andrew Sutherland are among the well-heeled and well-connected casting off on the boat trip from New York to Montreal to mark Fox’s 85th birthday.
Fox has chartered a luxury liner for the occasion, which will take place in a matter of weeks, with up to 200 couples thought to have been invited.
Fox’s actual birthday was in April, with the cruise being his party for friends and family.
Guests will have an array of events to attend on-board during the 12 day experience including a pyjama party evening.
Eddie McGuire will be among the guests and will be hosting some of the planned activities.
Capp will take leave from her role at the City Of Melbourne to attend.
“I am attending,” Capp confirmed yesterday.
“My husband, Andrew, particularly, has been lifelong friends with the Foxes and they are great family mates for me as well and we are really excited to celebrate Lindsay’s big milestone birthday.
“I will be on personal leave.”
The trip is separate to another international commitment she has in her diary for October.
Capp will represent Melbourne at the C40 World Mayors Summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina from October 19 - 21, 2022.
