Melbourne billionaire Adrian Portelli has solved the problem of what you get someone who has everything.
Portelli, who has a garage of luxury cars, a Lamborghini boat, a private jet and a host of up-market homes, is now the owner of a T-Rex (Tyrannosaurus Rex) foot.
Portelli picked up the archaeological fossil during his recent European trip.
He posted a video on Instagram showing his young son using the bone as a teething rusk.
Responding to incredulous comments from his social media followers Portelli explained the foot was real.
“Yes, it is a real authenticated fossil,” he posted.
“Age? Roughly 80 million years old.
“Ticket price? $130,000.
“Current ticket price after it suffered a broken toe …. unknown.”
The foot did lose a toe on the trip back to Australia with Portelli sharing a snap of himself with the ancient digit and a tube of Super Glue.
Portelli made his fortune through the trade promotion and rewards business LMCT+.
He was estimated to be worth $1.3bn on The List: Australia’s Richest 250, which was released in March 2024.
