Australian film star Margot Robbie is estimated to have earned more than $38 (US$23.5) million in the past 12 months.
Robbie, who launched her career with a stint on Neighbours, has rocketed into the Forbes list of the world’s ten highest-paid actresses for the year covering June 1, 2018 - June 1, 2019.
The star of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, I, Tonya, Suicide Squad, Mary Queen of Scots and The Wolf of Wall Street, is listed at number eight on the list.
Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson has topped the list for the second year in a row, raking in $82.9 (US $56) million.
Forbes estimates Johansson’s hefty earnings coming from an eight-figure cheque for her upcoming Black Widow film and an impressive back-end payment for the $2.8 billion-grossing Avengers: Endgame.
Sofia Vergara is second with $65.1 (US$44) million, Reese Witherspoon is third with $51.8 (US$35) million, Nicole Kidman is fourth with $50.3 (US$34) million, ahead of Jennifer Aniston with $41.4 (US$28) million.
Kaley Cuoco, Elizabeth Moss, Charlize Theron and Ellen Pompeo round out the top ten.
Robbie, Kidman and Theron are soon to be seen in the film Bombshell.
Theron will play Megyn Kelly, Kidman is Gretchen Carlson and Robbie portrays Kayla Pospisil in the film that recounts the stories of female Fox News employees and their experiences with Roger Ailes in the lead up to his downfall.
