For months his continued weight loss has been noticeable on air.

“A flight attendant on a recent trip even expressed concern I had been sick,” Amor said on social media on Saturday.

“Thankfully not.

“I’m currently about 28kgs lighter. Basically got tired of being a fat b**tard.

“Blame being middle aged. Blame laziness. Blame the lockdowns. It didn’t matter. In September last year I decided to take action.”

Amor signed up with online coach Nick Danev.

“Wish I was brave enough to show you before and after,” Amor said.

“But my abs are even starting to show - I thought they disappeared in the ‘80s along with my permed mullet, blonde highlights and marijuana leaf earring.

“So how did I do it? Give up booze? Oh hell no … don’t be stupid. Keto? Ozempic? Surgery? Nope. I promised myself I wouldn’t start something I couldn’t sustain.

“Basically I track my macros: high protein, lower carbs and low fat. It’s easier than it sounds.”

He said while he had always been active he had changed up his workout and aims to clock 12,000 steps a day.

“I now walk the dog every morning between three to four kilometres - just poodle pace,” he said.

“And I lift weights five times a week.

“I have dropped four suit sizes. Seven’s wardrobe probably hates me.

“I’m not finished yet but my greatest challenge is keeping it off. The hefty me is always lurking in the shadows.”
