Shane Crawford has more than proved his TV versatility after getting an 11th hour call-up to co-host Ninja Warrior Australia.
Crawford co-hosted two episodes of the sporty show while regular co-host Rebecca Maddern waited to get the all clear after being tested for coronavirus.
Following Maddern’s return he was called up — again with late notice — to take over the role of sideline commentator after former UK cricketer Andrew ”Freddie” Flintoff left the production early to head home to England as COVID-19 international travel restrictions kicked in.
It is understood the Ninja Warrior production logged serious late hours in getting the series filmed in record time at its new home at the Melbourne Showgrounds.
Production wrapped on Friday morning.
