Fashion, fragrance and footy; welcome inside the stylish world of Collingwood star Isaac Quaynor.
The talented defender is balancing his footy commitments with increasing opportunities in the fashion space.
Signed with Kult Australia the 25-year-old has become an in demand model and last week shot the latest Superdry brand campaign alongside Carlton star Tom De Koning.
“I am someone who loves to dress to impress,” Quaynor said.
“I think it is a quality I got from my dad, it is something that has been instilled in me since I was a kid, so to be able to get really cool photos and work with brands I have always dreamt of working with is pretty surreal.”
Along with modelling, Quaynor is in the process of developing his own fragrance.
“I had some opportunities to meet with some people and eventually the conversation came around to potentially launching my own brand,” he said.
“Currently I am well underway with that process. We have finalised three samples and I am starting to finalise packaging and bottle design. I am hoping by the end of the year or early next year people will be able to get their hands on my own fragrance.
“Travelling in the off season to see fragrance powerhouses like Byredo, Le Labo and Diptyque and how they operate, was really motivating for me.”
Quaynor’s off-field interests reflect the balance that Collingwood players are encouraged to have between footy and a life outside of the game.
“I think that is led by Fly (coach Craig McRae) and our captain Darcy Moore,” he said.
“I have spoken to Darcy many times about his study and how he has got so many passions outside of football and how there are so many things to tap into.
“At the end of the day football is my favourite sport and my priority and I will never let anything take away from it, but it is just about how you can get the best out of the status and following that we have got and tap into a few of the passions I have outside of football too.
“I make it very clear that this stuff all complements and balances my main thing which is football.”
Last Tuesday on a rooftop in Richmond on a perfect summer’s day, Quaynor was rugged up shooting the new “Gear Up With Superdry” campaign featuring the brands Sport Puffers and Everest Puffers.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to work with a brand like this,” Quaynor said.
“I can definitely feel the quality of these garms …. I am roasting. They’ll keep you warm for sure.”
