Nadia Bartel has apologised to fans of her fashion label, Henne, who queued for hours in stifling heat in Prahran on Friday to grab a bargain at the brand’s warehouse sale.

And on Saturday morning the line was just as along with sale hunters waiting for up to three hours to get into the venue.

“Today was wild. We apologise to everyone that had to queue up in this heat but so much love and appreciation to all of you for coming. We are still open tomorrow (Saturday, February 18) and Sunday and have replenished stock,” she wrote on an Instagram story.

Social media footage showed a line of young fans of the casual wear brand snaking along the backstreets of Prahran, around the block and through a car park early Friday morning as they waited their turn to load up on the marked down stock.

One TikTok account @itslucieeee, who shared footage of the enormous queue she recorded at 7am, recounted how she had not even heard of the brand but was made to get up at 6am by a buddy to be early in the line for the bargain hunt.

Comments on the video showed many had been waiting from 6am for the doors to open while others took a snarky approach saying they would never queue for a warehouse sale.

“Not the only line Nadia has seen in her life,” wrote one wit, referencing Bartel’s white powder on a plate scandal from 2021.

“Awesome, totally put me off the brand all together,” said another commenting on the size of the line.

“Ridiculous, I turned up and left no way!!!,” wrote one person.

“I did the same! Got there at 6.45 and drove straight back home,” posted another.

“I drove past at 7am & just kept going,” wrote another.

Others reported a far better and quicker experience by turning up in the afternoon.

“I got there at 2pm, there was no queue and still got some great stuff! Worth going back in the arvo,” posted a satisfied customer.

“I missed out on going in the morning but there was still some goodies when I went around lunch,” said another.

Meanwhile, one comment considered the time management horror of lining up for hours to get a discounted tank top.

“I don’t want to diss anyone but lining up just isn’t an extraordinary use of one’s time,” they wrote in the comments on the video.
