AFL superstar Dustin Martin is set to reveal the secrets to his incredible success as Dusty Inc continues to expand.

But success doesn’t come without commitment and plenty of sweat.

Martin, 31, is ready to share his training and mindfulness tips and tricks via his first venture into the fitness space with the launch of his app, Drip.

Martin used many of the programs and exercises included in the app to help him regain his fitness and strength after he lacerated a kidney during Richmond’s match against Brisbane in July last year. He shed 10kg as the injury healed.

“I’m just driven to be the best I can be and learn and experience as much as I can,” Martin said.

“We can really make life whatever we want it to be, if you put in the work. To have the opportunity to share the things I’ve learnt and help others achieve their goals really excites me. I want to motivate and guide people to reach their fitness goals and become the best they can be in life.”

Martin said success, while bringing great personal rewards, also brought with it other unexpected challenges.

“I think the more successful you become the more distractions there are,” he said.

“Being able to stay focused on the things that made you great, keeps you getting better.”

Martin said mindfulness was an important part of his success.

He added there was no shortcut to success.

“I just believe in putting in the work and being disciplined,” he said.

“But also, I feel it’s important to keep a balance and don’t drive yourself into the ground. Rest

and taking time to enjoy life and do the things you love is really important.”

Martin said mindfulness was an important part of his success and something that he felt was important to include in the Drip universe.

“To me, mindfulness is something you have to be disciplined with and work on – it’s a skill

just like learning to kick a football,” he said.

“There are so many different ways to do meditations and mindfulness. It could just be going for a walk, exercising or playing with your kids, whatever you are doing. Just be present.”

Drip, which is designed to be a personal trainer, wellness and mindfulness coach to people of all fitness levels, launches on Wednesday and will be available via the app store.
