Brynne reveals her dog fight with Geoffrey Edelsten

Geoffrey Edelsten’s ex-wife Brynne has revealed the controversial businessman threatened her with a bitter custody battle during their nasty divorce.

Controversial businessman Geoff Edelsten and his second wife Brynne secretly battled over custody of their dog, Juddy, during their nasty divorce.

Brynne revealed that a tug-of-love played out over her adored Maltese-shih tzu when the couple was going through an acrimonious split and subsequent divorce in 2014 and 2015. They wed in 2009 and Brynne publicly ended their union in 2014.

Geoff died aged 78 in Melbourne on June 11.

Despite not having great affection for the boisterous bundle of white fluff named after AFL champion Chris Judd, during their marriage, Geoff threatened to fight for joint custody of the dog as the couple’s split deepened.

“He wanted half custody,” Brynne said in an interview in 2016.

“Geoff has made it very clear publicly and privately that he is not a fan of Juddy.

“He wanted half custody. He does not like the dog, it was just something he wanted to hold over my head.

“Juddy is cleaner than most people but if Geoff would pat Juddy he would have to go and wash his hands right after.

“He’s just not a dog person and Juddy does not really like Geoff either to be honest.”

Brynne emerged from the divorce with Juddy, who boasted his own wardrobe of couture canine clothing, by her side and the gorgeous, playful and protective dog is still her treasured companion.

Meanwhile his third wife, Gabi Grecko, a New York based artist, fashion designer, amateur rapper and former stripper who has started referring to herself as “Widow Foxx”, revealed last week she and Geoffrey were still married. Grecko, 32, told of the happy days the couple shared together in New York during their 2018 reconciliation. They had wed in 2015 but split after five months.

“We watched a bunch of Hitchcock movies and old movies for days in my apartment and just ordered food and he seemed extremely happy, but his health was not good, so he was easily tired with simple things and his blood sugar was always bad because of his diabetes,” Grecko said.
