Collingwood AFLW player and SAS Australia star Sabrina Frederick has tied the knot with her partner, Lili Cadee-Matthews.
The couple exchanged vows in a joyous ceremony at The Line in Footscray on Sunday after postponing their wedding from December 2020 due to the pandemic.
Bachelorette Brooke Blurton was among the wedding party, alongside Frederick’s AFLW Magpies teammate Brittany Bonnici.
Blurton was joined at the service and reception party by her Bachelorette beau Darvid Garayeli.
Clearly inspired by the romantic celebration of love, Garayeli wrote “Can’t wait to marry you” on a picture of Blurton in her blush silk camisole bridesmaid’s gown brandishing a bouquet.
Frederick wore a suit by Melbourne designer Effie Kats.
Cadee-Matthews wore a gown by Rue De Seine bridal.
Frederick changed into a bordeaux velvet suit for the reception, while Cadee-Matthews changed into a short dress by designer Harriette Gordon.
“It was definitely worth the wait, especially with restrictions easing and dancing and not needing the mask,’’ Frederick said.
“I’m on cloud nine. It was a long time coming but finally we got there.
“Most of my family is from the UK so they were watching via Zoom. My brother was there but my sister was in Perth. I’d love to have seen how many steps I got in on the night.”
The pair, who will be known as the Fredericks, were married by celebrant and good friend Hester Mary Brown, the wife of Melbourne premiership forward Ben Brown.
Other notable guests were comedian Merrick Watts who was Frederick’s SAS co-star, Collingwood co-captain Bri Davey and Melbourne star Tayla Harris.
Frederick was a standout on the first season of SAS Australia and was the only woman to make it to the end of the gruelling physical and mental extreme boot camp challenge.
“I will never truly have enough time to express or show how much I love and appreciate you. But let’s start with the rest of our lives,” Frederick posted on social media in the lead-up to the wedding with her high school teacher wife.
“When I’m in a room with you, that missing piece is found.”
Blurton wrote on Instagram: “My best mate finally got MARRIED … felt so honoured to be a part of it and seeing you finally marry the girl of your dreams @sabizzle.”
