TV host and former Miss Universe Australia Scherri-Lee Biggs has married former West Coast Eagles premiership player Daniel Venables.
The couple, who announced their engagement in December, tied the knot before family and friends at Old Young’s Distillery in WA.
Biggs, wearing a gown by Melbourne designer Cappellazzo Couture and styled by Lana Wilkinson, simply posted “The Venables” on a joyous picture of the couple at their picturesque ceremony.
Guests included Eagles players Alex Witherden, Jake Waterman, Luke Shuey, Jamie Cripps and Jeremy McGovern.
In December Venables announced he had proposed to the Channel 9 host, posting a photo of the couple embracing by the beach with a sunset in the background as Biggs showed off her engagement ring.
“Christmas came early this year. Forever isn’t enough with you @danielvenables,” Biggs wrote in the caption.
Venables and Biggs, Miss Universe Australia 2011, went public with their relationship in April last year. She has previously dated another West Coast Eagles player, Brad Sheppard, before they ended their relationship in 2019.
Venables was part of the Eagles side that won the premiership in 2018.
He played 21 games across the 2018 and 2019 seasons before severe head injury forced him to retire.
He has spoken out about his troubles since, saying he believed he could still be playing in the AFL had he received proper treatment for his career-ending concussion-related issues which included an alarming seven brain bleeds.
