After taking a stand against trolls, AFLW star Tayla Harris is preparing for her next fight.

The Carlton footballer is training up to re-enter the ring and continue her boxing career.

“I’m a boxing pro as well so I’m training to fight again soon,’’ she told Confidential.

“I’ve had five pro fights and I go overseas and do training camps. I love the competitive nature of fighting. I was offered a world title fight in February in Costa Rica but had to turn it down.”

Harris, who won Mark of the Year at the AFLW Awards, is undefeated so far as a boxer.

She was the talk of the football world after speaking out against social media trolls who commented on a picture of her which was then deleted.

The now iconic image created a viral competition known as the Tayla Harris Kick Challenge.

“I can handle footy criticism (but) I looked at some comments and thought this is way too far,’’ she said.

“I got a lot of advice from people close to me during the saga you’d call it.

“From the feedback I held myself well. I wanted to put my message out there and use the platform I had.”

Harris said it was disappointing to lose the grand final, played in front of a record crowd of 53,034 people at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

But she is pleased for injured Crows star Erin Phillips who won the best and fairest on Tuesday night, following another win in the MVP award on Monday.

“It was a huge crowd and it was great to be a part of it,’’ Harris said.

“Erin is just an elite athlete and has been in an elite environment for a long time.”
