Suzi Taylor returns to social media after legal troubles

After disappearing from the public eye following 200 days behind bars, former Penthouse Pet Suzi Taylor has re-emerged.

Former Penthouse Pet, glamour model and The Block contestant Suzi Taylor has publicly re-emerged for the first time since she completed a stint behind bars in May.

Taylor spent 202 days in prison, as well as a month in solitary confinement, after pleading guilty to almost 30 charges, including possessing cocaine and cannabis, trespassing, drink-driving, failing to stop at the scene, and multiple counts of breaching bail.

The mother of three was released from Brisbane Women’s Correctional Centre and shortly after denied all charges to media outside court.

In the selfie posted on Sunday, she posed in a cap and aviator sunglasses while still sporting long wavy brunette locks.

“I made it back to the land of the living … finally,’’ she captioned the picture, with hashtags “alive”, “free” and “me”.

In May, Taylor and a male associate were found not guilty of the bizarre kidnap, assault and extortion of an escort client, who had allegedly been tied up in her unit in 2019. She was facing more than 100 charges but ultimately prosecutors and her lawyer negotiated to drop more than 70 charges.

She celebrated her freedom at the time with a friend, who labelled her his “favourite celebrity criminal”.

On May 6, she said: “I spent over 200 days in jail for a crime I did not commit.

“I feel I was unjustly attacked and made to look guilty just by being my silly self and being made to look guilty with false accusations, lies and untruths and innuendo.

“But I am not guilty and finally I can say that and get on with life and start afresh.”

Taylor, whose real name is Suellen Jan Taylor, appeared on The Block in 2015 and has never been far from the headlines since.

She claimed during her stint on the reality show that she became addicted to Stilnox, which she took for issues with sleeping.

In 2016 she turned up at a Melbourne event on the arm of late controversial businessman Geoffrey Edelsten, who claimed they were an item. She went on radio the following day to deny they were dating.

Taylor’s last social media post had been in July, 2019.
