Model Adut Akech continues to smash huge career milestones and she hasn’t even turned 20 yet.

The South Australian woman, who originally came to Australia fleeing South Sudan, will grace not one, not two but three international Vogue covers — Japan, Germany and of course British Vogue, guest edited by the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle.

Akech was personally selected by Markle for being an inspiration and a “Force for change” alongside 14 other women including New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, actor and activist Salma Hayek and 16-year-old climate change pioneer Greta Thunberg.

She told The Daily Telegraph that the Duchess personally called her to inform her that she would be on the cover and called her an inspiration.

“She said that I was an inspiration, I couldn’t believe that she was calling me an inspiration.

“We didn’t get to talk for very long because she had to get back to Archie but when I’m in London in September we’re hoping to meet.”

Having worked with the biggest brands in the world, including Calvin Klein, Givenchy, Burberry, Versace, Valentino, Machino and her latest campaign with Zara, Akech is one of the most in demand models in the world.

The honour of fronting all three issues is only amplified when considering the September issue of Vogue is the most prestigious of the year.

Akech’s achievements have attracted her a star studded list of friends and fans, including Markle.

Her Instagram posts garner comments from the world’s most famous celebrities including Naomi Campbell, Gigi and Bella Hadid and Zendaya.
