Former AFL star Adam Cooney is rumoured to be one off the big names entering the jungle on the new season of I’m a Celebrity.

Former Western Bulldogs and Essendon star Adam Cooney is tipped to be the Brownlow Medal winner entering the jungle on I’m a Celebrity ... Get Me out of Here!.

Cooney, who won footy’s most prestigious individual medal in 2008, has successfully turned his hand to media working on Channel 7’s Friday night show Armchair Experts and on SEN radio.

The popular footballer is expected to be joined by a raft of big names as the show returns to South Africa for live filming, airing on Network Ten from April 2.

Other clues released last week included a chef, a TV host, a boxer and a comedian.

Names doing the rounds include former Melbourne and now Byron Bay based chef Shannon Bennett, comedians Peter Helliar and Tommy Little who quit The Project last year, and lightweight boxing champion Lauryn Eagle.

Hosts of the show, Dr Chris Brown and Julia Morris, appear in the trailer performing a song with back-up dancers and wild animals on a plane headed to the African jungle.

After this series Brown will leave the Network to join Channel 7.
