OPINION: IF I WATCH TV, I’M A CELEBRITY?

“My boys love the show and I get to be myself, which was appealing,’’ he said.

“They’re right into it and they’ll be excited to see Dad cacking his dacks.

“Every other time I drag them to watch something I am doing on TV they have very little care factor, they’re like ‘come on, Dad, move on’.”

Crawford admits the show will be a struggle because he sleepwalks and hates spiders and insects.

“I don’t like snakes, spiders, rats or mice and I don’t like flies, so it’s going to be a massive challenge,’’ he said.

“I have squirmed a bit watching it so far. I also sleepwalk and go for a bit of a wander as well. I just need to know somebody is going to steer me back in the right direction.”

Crawford said he parted with Channel 9 to go on the show because it was time to do something out of his comfort zone.

“I’ve had a great long- term relationship with Nine and I’ll still do stuff moving forward,’’ he said.

“I was ready to change things up and as you get older you want a different challenge. I had to listen to what my heart was telling me, so I decided to commit and go for it.”
