Two famous football families will unite after Ruby Brownless and Josh Wallis announced their engagement.

Brownless, the model daughter of Geelong champion Billy Brownless and his ex-wife Nicky, posted the happy news on Sunday.

Wallis is the brother of former Western Bulldogs star Mitch Wallis and their dad is former Bulldogs star Stephen Wallis.

“I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you!!” Ruby wrote on social media.

“The most incredible weekend of my life. The best surprise weekend.”

The young couple shared their joy on Queensland’s Hayman Island.

Wallis’ family has a house nearby where they spend much time. They first stepped out together at the Bulldogs’ best and fairest in 2019 when Wallis played for the Bulldogs VFL team.

Ruby’s sister Lucy, dating Sydney star and former Saint Paddy McCartin, shared the news with the caption “crying!”.

They have two brothers, Oscar and Max.

Love is in the air for the Brownless clan with Billy debuting his new partner Justine during Cup Week at Flemington last month.

Nicky has been with footy legend and broadcaster Garry Lyon for many years since her break-up from Billy. The entire family has come together at Christmas over the past few years.
