FORMER NRL WAG Phoebe Burgess is keeping a low profile amid ongoing media scrutiny surrounding her private life.
The Ostelin ambassador was set to host an “exclusive brand event” for the bone health brand next week, however Confidential understands organisers have now postponed the invite-only launch until next year after consulting with Phoebe’s team and event partners.
“Phoebe’s role as the Ostelin Brand ambassador remains unchanged,” an insider said.
Last week, a lawyer for Phoebe’s ex-husband Sam Burgess claimed recent allegations of substance and domestic abuse made by the mother-of-two were “born out of malice or retaliation”.
He has denied the allegations.
The former Rabbitohs star’s lawyer Bryan Wrench made the claim at Moss Vale Local Court on Wednesday while representing Sam on charges of assault and intimidation of Phoebe’s father Mitch Hooke.
The retired Souths captain has pleaded not guilty to intimidation and indicated a not guilty plea to the assault charge.
Police charged Burgess after an argument at the Hooke family’s Bowral property on October 19, 2019.
The exes split last year after four years of marriage and they share two children together - Poppy, three, and Billy, one.

Last week, Phoebe thanked fans for their support in a social media post.
“Finding joy in the little things and my little people ... simply because I was silent doesn’t mean I didn’t hear you, thank you for your kindness. Means the world to us,” she wrote.
On Monday, she shared a cryptic message about women’s empowerment in a sponsored post on Instagram.
“I’ve always had a strong work ethic and feel sometimes it’s just about forging onwards and honouring the people you commit to, that includes my @lorealparis family,” she wrote.
“I believe every woman deserves to feel valued and feel like they are ‘worth it’ without changing what’s on the inside.
“I’m worth it because I am at my best - and feel most valued - when I am ‘Mum’. I need a simple make-up routine that can keep up with ‘Mum’ and outlast the day - I need the bare minimum to achieve big things. As the weather warms up, it’s about using less product to achieve the confidence I need...”
