The wives and partners of Australia’s top rugby league players have taken centre stage as the sport’s big awards night kicks off in Sydney.
While the players themselves will be the focus inside the awards, the 2019 Dally M Awards red carpet was all about fashion and glamour.
Thigh-high splits and plunging necklines were on trend as Brittney Tamou, Dominque Moraitis and Bri Gardoni led WAGs on the red carpet.

Parramatta Eels winger Blake Ferguson’s partner Dominique Moratitis wore a stunning Anna Maurer couture gown.
Raiders fullback Jack Wighton looked dapper in a custom suit as he arrived with girlfriend Monisha Lew-Fatt, who admitted she took three hours to get ready.
Wighton said he was feeling confident about Sunday’s grand final against the Roosters.
“It’s a really good vibe (at home). We’ve got a really good team this year. With a little bit of luck and few good calls, we can definitely win. We’re excited mate.”
Aria award-winning singer Illy provided the night’s musical entertainment with the first-ever performance of his new single Lean On Me at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.
When asked for his pick on the upcoming grand final between the Sydney Roosters and the Canberra Raiders, the hip hop artist was neutral.
“I am Switzerland in this one. I have to stay neutral,” he said.
Dragons winger Jessica Sergis swapped football boots for heels and said getting ready was quite the challenge.
“I did struggle to get (heels) on, it’s so much easier to get football boots on,” she laughed.
“I’m a bit nervous but it’s definitely a goal on my list (to get a Dally M award). I’d be honoured.”
Roosters star and bookies favourite James Tedesco wore a custom M.J. Bale tuxedo and brought his mum Rosemary as his date.
“She always wanted to come and I always wanted to bring her here,” he said.
“It would be a proud achievement (to win the Dally M). To be up there with some of the previous winners would be great.
“Just going to enjoy my night with mum and if it happens it happens.”
Online betting agencies have Tedesco favourite to take home the medal, ahead of Cameron Smith, Mitchell Moses, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Cameron Munster, Jason Taumalolo, Mitchell Pearce and Damien Cook.
The awards will be broadcast live on Fox League.
