She may have been overlooked in the Oscar nominations last week, but Nicole Kidman was the winner as she walked the red carpet for the Australian premiere of her new film Destroyer on Monday night.
The Hollywood heavyweight was at the St George Open Air Cinema on the Harbour for the film, which stars a gritty Kidman as an LAPD detective.

“It doesn’t get better than this,” Kidman told The Daily Telegraph as she looked back at the ocean wearing a white Ermanno Scervino suit.
“I just hope the sound is good though.”
Kidman, who was with her niece Lucia, physically changed her look for the role, wearing a short mousy grey wig with ageing make-up.
“It was a tough film to make,” she said. “It is really so different for me. We were doing it on a very tight budget.
“I’m in that place of trying to stretch myself and try things and push out of my comfort zone. It was primarily a female crew so that was another reason for me to do the film because I felt like (director) Karyn (Kusama) has such a strong muscular vision.”
Destroyer opens in cinemas on March 21.
