Nadia Bartel is proud of her efforts on the dancefloor despite a premature end to her Dancing With the Stars stint on Sunday night.
The fashion influencer and mum of two admitted she suffered from a case of stage fright in her first outing, but took away some valuable lessons from her second routine before a shock elimination.
“I was in a good head space and literally just before I went on I got so nervous,’’ Bartel said.
“I felt kind of numb and like it was an out of body experience. Being on stage and not doing that before, I was kind of aware when we got to the tango it was going to happen again.
“I was trying to gear myself up for not having that feeling again but when you’ve got to stand there for a minute before you perform, I found those moments really hard. I definitely handled it better the second time and I enjoyed it for what I had to do.”
Bartel said it was disappointing not to have more time on the show.
“I was so looking forward to learning to dance so it’s not the best feeling but I’m looking at all the positives,’’ she said.
“I still dance and do some of the steps and joke around with the boys at home. The juggle with the kids and business was really hard, but I’m so glad I did it.”
Bartel said her focus was back on her business Henne and expanding the brand.
“We’ve opened a store in Sydney and Melbourne which are our two biggest markets and we are looking at a third store now, probably in Melbourne,’’ she said.
“Sometimes you’re just hard on yourself but you’ve got to celebrate the wins.”
