Style mogul Nadia Bartel has thrown her support behind Annalise Dalins to lead the next generation of fashion and footy influencers.
Bartel, one of the original queen WAGs, says Dalins, fiance of Collingwood star Josh Daicos, has built an authentic brand since entering the world of modelling.
“It’s changed so much over the years,’’ Bartel said.
“When I first had a personal brand, Instagram and TikTok weren’t a thing and it was just different back then. Being authentic is what you need to be and Annalise really has that ‘it’ factor. Staying true to your authentic self and sharing a lot of yourself is what people connect with.”
Bartel, co-founder of Henne and former wife of Geelong great Jimmy Bartel, appeared with Dalins on a panel at the After Hours by New Balance event at Gracie’s Wine Room, launching the New Balance 471s.
They were joined by With Harper Lu founder Lucia Hanna for a chat about business, trends and personal style.
Dalins spoke about her rise — she can be credited for starting the ‘footy fit check’ trend after posting TikTok videos showing her outfits for the footy.
“For me it’s been really interesting over the last few years to see my personal brand change and grow,’’ Dalins said.
“I feel like my job has fallen under so many different hats in the last few years. So change can sometimes be really daunting and nerve wracking but I feel like in that space what was really beneficial for me was to spend time with myself and get to know myself a bit better.
Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is really important because that is also a time you can reflect on your purpose and your why, and I think that that makes a stronger personal brand.”
Bartel is staying true to her authentic mantra, revealing she did get a nose job in 2020 and admitting her beauty and wellness regimen begins at 4:45am before her two sons get up in the morning.
She told her friends Bec Judd and Jessie Roberts on their Vain-ish podcast that she wants to try lip blushing/tattoo and tattooed eyeliner next.
