Justin McKeone, the ex-husband of former Miss Universe Australia, Olivia Rogers, has welcomed his first child with new partner, reality star Tahnee Leeson.
Leeson posted to social media on Mother’s Day, detailing that their son Arlo had spent his first six nights in hospital.
It comes as a cloud hangs over McKeone, who has been accused in court documents of misappropriating almost $500,000 while working as a financial manager at a Cremorne business in 2024.
Leeson has been happily documenting the couple’s journey to parenthood with the contestant on the 2021 season of The Bachelor, posting an update with a series of images on Sunday.
“My perfect boy,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Arlo Leeson Mckeone surprised us all by arriving almost 4 weeks early with a 7 hour active labour at 10.01pm on the 28th of April.
“However not the best entry to motherhood with Arlo spending the following 6 nights in Perth Children’s Hospital and a further 4 back where I gave birth at Osborne Park Hospital.
“He experienced breathing issues at 30 minutes of life needing 6 hours on the CPAP. Then a course of antibiotics and a feeding tube for 6 days. Thankfully my strong boy was ultimately okay all things considered. In that environment I was definitely one of the lucky ones.
“That said, no one can prepare you to go through the all consuming and emotional experience of childbirth, only to watch this tiny little boy be wheeled away from you mere hours later. Then the hours upon hours I spent in hospital just holding him in my arms never wanting to leave and crying when I had to. His final 3 nights in hospital was done under my full care, an experience I’m so thankful l could do with the hospital to ensure he was fully prepared for life outside their safe walls.”
Leeson said now, 13 days later, he was doing well.
“I can’t even begin to put into words the amount of love I have for this beautiful little bean,’’ she continued. “I always knew I wanted to be a mother, but how I have taken to this role is undoubtedly my greatest achievement ever.”
Leeson, who vied for the heart of pilot Jimmy Nicholson, said Arlo has “given me a purpose I never knew I was missing. You already have every single part of my heart. I’m so lucky to be your mummy.”
Mckeone was married to influencer Rogers for eight months with the split confirmed in October 2022.
A former socialite in Melbourne, he hit the headlines in late 2024 when it was revealed his former employer Rocket Brands (Cozmic Sales Pty Ltd) had launched legal action against him in the Victorian Supreme Court alleging he had misappropriated $481,490.33 from the business during his five-month tenure as Head of Finance.
The company applied for a freezing order on McKeone’s assets which was granted in October and was extended to April 2025 at a directions hearing in early December.
McKeone did not attend the directions hearing.
He has returned to Perth and is yet to comment on the allegations.
