THE much-loved long-time Melbourne station Magic 1278 will soon be no longer.
It is set to be replaced by a new station called Talking Lifestyle, which will be networked from Sydney.
Talking Lifestyle, which is part of Macquarie Radio Network, will hold a launch on Wednesday to announce the station’s plans for Melbourne.
Magic 1278 doesn’t set the radio ratings on fire, but it has a loyal following.
The presenters on Talking Lifestyle that will broadcast from Sydney — into Melbourne — include Ed Phillips, Catriona Rowntree, Peter Switzer and David Koch.
The official launch will take place at the South Melbourne market.
