Celebrities, actors, business leaders, sports stars and A-listers lobbed in force courtside for the Australian Open men’s final on Sunday night.
Oscar nominated actor Ana de Armas, who portrayed the Bond girl Paloma in the James Bond film No Time to Die and Norma Jeane in the biopic Blonde, was the top secret guest who accompanied the men’s trophy onto Rod Laver Arena alongside Jim Courier.
Supermodel Elle Macpherson and her musician partner Doyle Bramhall, along with actor Joel Edgerton, were back at the tennis taking in the action from the on-court seats.
Actor Deborra-Lee Furness was sitting alongside Simon Baker, while Grey’s Anatomy actor Kate Walsh also returned after attending the women’s final.
The crowd was full of familiar faces including actors Eric Bana, Rachel Griffiths, Martin Henderson, Lee Halley, Xavier Samuel, Alex Fitzalan, Brenton Thwaites, Olivia DeJonge, Angourie Rice, Maddison Brown, Dacre Montgomery and Aisha Dee.
Models Jessica Gomes and Victoria Lee stepped out too, as well as swimming legend Ian Thorpe who was with recently retired Mack Horton, singer Tina Arena, radio star Jackie O Henderson, boxing great Jeff Fenech, socialite Francesca Packer, footy legend Leigh Matthews, TV personality Julia Morris and athlete Peter Bol.
Arena was accompanied by her long-time partner, Swedish musician Mattias Lindblom and introduced him in the Emirates suite as her fiance.
There’s been much speculation the award-winning singer had tied the knot after she was snapped sporting a diamond ring.
Packer was accompanied by her partner Robert Bates.
Griffiths, also with Emirates, said it was the “happiest time” in Melbourne.
“Is this not the happiest time in Melbourne? It’s so inclusive and I love seeing all the families and children,’’ she said. “More than a million people have come, this is amazing.”
Collingwood stars, brothers Josh and Nick Daicos, were at the final fresh from meeting NFL legend Tom Brady on Saturday.
Western Bulldogs star Bailey Smith was also invited with his partner Gemma Dawkins.
Businessmen John Gandel, Lindsay Fox, Matt Gudinski, Larry Kestelman plus former Telstra CEO Andy Penn were also spotted, while Eddie McGuire was a guest of Channel 9.
Hospitality king Chris Lucas and wife Sarah attended with Piper-Heidsieck, along with Morris and Bol.
“I’m mad for the tennis,’’ said Morris, host of I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese shared a chat pre-game with tennis legend Rod Laver.
