Lindy Rama-Ellis is doing her bit for the environment by backing sustainable fashion.
The model mum has shot a campaign for Aussie designer Ena Pelly, encouraging others to educate themselves on the environmental impacts of the industry.
“It is important for me to be balanced in all aspects of my life,” Rama-Ellis, who was previously married to retired Olympic swimmer Michael Klim, said.
“I find that brands like Ena Pelly represent a conscious awareness of the responsibilities that we all carry towards our environment. I don’t really follow trends, and instead I focus on styles that are timeless.
“I like to invest in pieces with the aim for them to stay in my wardrobe longer than a few seasons.”
Bali-based Rama-Ellis, mother to four children, shot the campaign in Melbourne last week.
Ena Pelly is known for promoting sustainable fashion practices and this season launches its faux fur collection made out of recycled plastic water bottles.
“The look was gorgeous, and the feel was luxurious. What more can I ask for?” she quipped.
“Plus, knowing that I’m recycling and saving the planet by investing in this jacket – it feels good, that’s what it feels like.”
