Eddie McGuire’s Millionaire Hot Seat is relocating to Queensland after it was shut down following The Masked Singer outbreak.

Hot Seat was due to film at Docklands Studios and even though they were using a separate studio to The Masked Singer, there were shared facilities.

Production is relocating for seven weeks to film 30 episodes in Queensland with McGuire flying out of Melbourne today with up to 400 AFL crew for two weeks quarantine.

Channel 9 says it’s a temporary move with the support of the Queensland Government, and all contestants will be from Queensland.

Key production personnel and the Hot Seat set will also travel north today.

The move also allows McGuire, the Collingwood president, to host and commentate matches live for Fox Footy.

The Masked Singer will still shoot a finale after key members of the show are out of isolation.

Nine is also set to go ahead with filming of Lego Masters at the start of October at the Melbourne Showgrounds.
