Melbourne socialites glam up for Effie Kats’ hen’s do

A who’s who of Melbourne socialites, including Nadia Bartel and Havana Brown, has gathered at Crown for leading designer Effie Kats’ lavish hen’s party.

Leading designer Effie Kats has celebrated her hen’s night with many of Melbourne’s top socialites.

Kats will marry finance broker James Cerolini on November 11 in a ceremony at St Patrick’s Cathedral before a reception takes place at State Library Victoria.

She wanted to mark her big day in advance of party and events season kicking off.

“My hens, such a magical love filled night!” she wrote on social media.

Kats also thanked The Atlantic at Crown for hosting the night and putting together a stunning candlelit table that stopped passers by.

In attendance were her bridesmaid Havana Brown, plus Nadia Bartel, Rozalia Russian, Lana Wilkinson, Elliot Garnaut, Jade Kisnorbo, Gabrielle Roccuzzo, Chris Kontos and Jack Charles.

“We all love you and can’t wait for the wedding,” Wilkinson posted.

The wedding will be attended by 200 guests.

“I decided not to go with a wedding planner and I’m doing it all myself,’’ Kats told the Herald Sun.

“James proposed in August 2021 during lockdown so we’ve taken time to plan it out.”

Kats, founder of Effie Kats and Bayse Brand, will wear a gown by Zuhair Murad and headed to Paris in June for a fitting.

“I’ve attended so many events and we want to create something spectacular for our guests,’’ she said. “It’s on Stakes Day and Remembrance Day so it’ll add to an already insane schedule.”
