Melbourne socialite Hayden Burbank engaged to Belinda Vickers

The hospitality identity who was once jailed for breaching border rules to attend the 2021 AFL grand final has told of his tearful proposal to his “saviour” and “angel”.

Hospitality identity and Australia’s most infamous football supporter Hayden Burbank is engaged.

Burbank proposed to his partner Belinda Vickers on Valentine’s Day with a treasure hunt in the Botanical Gardens.

The Melbourne socialite described the former Married At First Sight contestant as his “saviour” and “angel”.

“She’s been phenomenal for me, the most beautiful, kind soul I’ve ever met,’’ he told the Herald Sun.

Burbank proposed to Vickers on Valentine’s Day

Burbank is a hospitality identity and Australia’s most infamous football supporter.

Vickers is a former Married At First Sight contestant.

“I had tears rolling down my face as I got down on one knee. Twenty-one months, 21 days and 21 hours ago fate decided to play its hand.”

The couple met at trendy cafe Gilson in South Yarra through mutual friends.

Burbank, who owns Chapel St bar Morris Jones, said about 70 onlookers gathered and broke into applause when he presented her with a huge sparkling diamond ring.

He then surprised her again with a gathering of family and friends at his home.

Vickers said it was a beautiful day.

“It was always yes,’’ she said.

“It was 12 months after the show that we met and it really led me to him and opened up new people for me meet.”
