Kyle Sandilands has described his breafkast radio co-host Jackie O as “f***able” in an explosive appearance at an industry conference.

And the controversial media identity stands by his comments.

“I thought she was f***able,” Sandilands said.

The 48-year-old made the comments in a lengthy on stage interview with TV journalist Karl Stefanovic at Radio Alive, the annual conference of Commercial Radio Australia, when asked what he thought of Jackie ‘O’ Henderson when they first met.

It comes a day after it was announced Sandilands and Jackie O had signed a further six year deal with KIIS FM parent company Australian Radio Network (ARN) believed to be worth up to $50 million.

“She is f***able … was and is,” Sandilands told Confidential when asked to clarify the comments, adding of his new deal with the station: “The contract was already extremely healthy and I was happy with it. I was more than happy to re-sign but with a few extra changes and a bit of a back pocket filler. Yes it is a remarkable amount of money, but we were already getting paid a sh*tload of money before.”

Sandilands also discussed the recent Virgin Mary controversy, during which there were calls for him to be sacked and fears were raised that advertisers would pull funding of the breakfast show.

Interestingly, Sandilands said he understood the predicament advertisers are in when scandals erupt.

“I understand because people just want to distance themselves if they are being attacked by feral groups or people that are contacting them making threats,” he told Confidential. “I understand why people pull back. It has happened to me before in the past and people come back. I don’t blame anyone for anything, if anyone threatens anyone for any reason I understand why people don’t want to get involved.”

In the wide ranging Radio Alive conference session, which lasted for nearly an hour, Sandilands covered off everything from the #metoo movement to his use of drugs like cocaine and marijuana.

He revealed that he suffered from obsessive compulsive disorder several years ago while working in Perth and would count things continually and wake up about 30 times in the night to check his front door was locked.

“I cured myself,” he told Confidential after the session. “Actually I might still be a little bit OCD, maybe about folding clothes because I like to do my own washing and don’t like anyone touching my clothes. I have got a certain way I like things, maybe I still am OCD.”

Sandilands has for many years dealt with various health issues, including suffering debilitating migraines. He proudly revealed he had lost weight after reigning in his intake of junk food.

“I’ve still got high blood pressure and I’m still on medication like a mess. I had to get rid of chocolate and the rubbish food, I am eating better,” he explained. “I was like a teenage boy my entire life and that caught up with me so that had to get sorted out. Too much sugar, too much rubbish, not enough sleep, drug binges and whatever else was going on in my life at the time, it was my own stupidity. I feel different. I’ve lost about three belt sizes.”

Sandilands said he no longer takes cocaine or marijuana, nor does he drink.

“I have been on and off plenty of things, just coke and weed,” he explained. “Now if I did one line I’d be dead in five seconds. I’m doing nothing. I am in bed by 8.30pm now, which is ridiculous. I never did a line of cocaine until I was like 35, I thought it was the devil.”
