A WEEK after almost breaking the internet with her bare butt, Kim Kardashian smashed the red carpet with an eye-popping latex creation in Melbourne.

Kardashian stunned the crowd at Spice Market when she arrived in a custom-made flesh-coloured dress by London designer Atsuko Kudo.

She hosted an invite-only party for 600 guests and backtracked down the red carpet momentarily after fans on the street desperately pleaded: “Kim, we’ve been waiting here for three hours!”

Earlier, Kardashian opened up about her nude photo shoot, saying she felt empowered to do something artful.

Kardashian, at Melbourne’s Crown Towers talking to Entertainment Tonight in an interview to be screened in the US tomorrow, said she stripped for Paper magazine because she wanted to work with renowned photographer Jean-Paul Goude.

“For me it was something I felt empowered to do,” Kardashian told ET’s John Caldwell.

“I really wanted to do a project that was so artful. It wasn’t about being naked for me.”

Kardashian, who stars on her own reality television show, vowed on the program to do a nude shoot after giving birth to daughter North, now 17 months.

Kim recalled: “I must have been 500 pounds, huge, so pregnant. I said: ‘When I have this baby, as soon as I feel I’m in good shape. I’m gonna do some nude shoot. I don’t know what, I but I’m gonna do it’.”

Kardashian is loving her quick visit to Melbourne to launch a new perfume, but denied reports she and rapper husband Kanye West were planning to buy an island off the Queensland coast.

“No, not truth to that. Just because I come here a lot,” she laughed.

Indeed, Kim, Kanye and North got to know Melbourne when they visited during West’s tour two months ago.

“Kanye would have his concerts and we would spend the days exploring, going to different restaurants, shopping, the zoo, things like that,” she said.

The model and reality star told her minders late on Tuesday she wanted to be referred to as Kim Kardashian West in future promotion and publicity.
