It is the curse of being a comedian — people always ask you to say something funny.
Like so many funny men and women, it is true for visiting Hollywood stars Kevin Hartand Tiffany Haddish.
“They expect us to be funny and cheery all the time but I am a human,” Haddish told Confidential.
“And I am a woman. I am a nut. I just look at them and they laugh and I don’t know why. They’re like, ‘tell me a joke right now’. And I am like, ‘give me some money because that is what I get paid to do’.”

Hart, 39, feels the pressure too but doesn’t let it get to him.
“When you have a large fanbase and they are familiar with you from movies or television or stand-up, that is all they know you as. I don’t get upset because I understand it and just try and make it an impactful moment.”
The pair are in Sydney for the Australian premiere screening of their new animated flick, The Secret Life Of Pets 2, that opens in cinemas June 20.
While both are hugely successful today, Hart recently revealed he loaned Haddish $300 when she was a homeless struggling actor years ago.
“I don’t remember,” she joked ahead of walking the red carpet at Hoyts Entertainment Quarter on Thursday night. “I am doing well now.”
Seriously though, she added: “It wasn’t easy. It was super difficult. You have to constantly keep in a frame of mind where I believe it is really important to believe in yourself.”
Haddish, best known for her breakthrough role in Girls Trip, returns to Australia in January to shoot a buddy cop comedy with Chris Hemsworth called Down Under Cover.
