Jordan De Goey’s girlfriend Aisha Jade McKinnon says her boyfriend is no bad boy

Former Big Brother contestant Aisha Jade McKinnon has revealed how she met her Collingwood star boyfriend Jordan De Goey and how they have bonded over both valuing their privacy.

Aisha Jade McKinnon, the partner of Collingwood star Jordan De Goey, says it’s unfair the premiership midfielder has a bad boy reputation.

“It’s sad because I know a very different Jordy,’’ McKinnon said.

“He’s really lovely. We definitely value our privacy, we connected on that, and we both have unique jobs and support each other.”

McKinnon revealed the couple is “very happy” after meeting earlier this year.

The former Big Brother star and fashion designer said the couple connected via Instagram and had bought a farm together about an hour out of Melbourne.

“We met the good old fashioned Instagram way (over message),’’ McKinnon said.

“It was lovely and we were like pen pals until we met. We’re getting our hands dirty at the farm transforming it and having fun.”

McKinnon, who is from New Zealand, moved to Melbourne for love.

She stepped out in the city on Wednesday beside other Collingwood players to celebrate Emirates announcing its renewed partnership with Tennis Australia and its ongoing sponsorship of the Australian Open for the next five years.

She said she had enjoyed being part of footy life.

“It’s a new world and from what I know of the club it’s so family orientated,’’ she said.

“I’ve definitely fallen in love with the game.”

McKinnon’s clothing brand Chosen by Tuchuzy launches this week. She has more than 280,000 followers on Instagram after being on TV as a 22 year-old.

“It was a stepping stone to fashion and where I wanted to be,” she said. “I’m really excited for what we’ve created.”

McKinnon and De Goey first stepped out together at the Collingwood Best and Fairest night in October.
