North Melbourne ball-magnet Shaun Higgins said: “Congratulations mate — nothing like it.”

Adelaide goal sneak and fan-favourite Eddie Betts also passed on his congratulations, while Geelong forward Tom Hawkins said: “Congratulations!!!! Girls are the best mate… Enjoy it all.”

Jack and Carly Riewoldt were married in November 2017, just over a month after the Tigers won the flag to break a 37-year premiership drought.

Richmond will field its first ever AFLW team next year, and if Poppy has the goal-sense of her dad Tiger fans have a lot to look forward to.
