Sydney publicity queen Tiffany Farrington has found love in the arms of Richard Buttrose, the nephew of media identity Ita.

Buttrose is infamous due to his nine-year stint in prison for cocaine supply and was released from jail in 2017.

The couple were unavailable for comment when Confidential reached out although friends explained they met at Bondi Beach a few months after his release when introduced by a mutual friend.

Some sources earlier this week suggested the pair had become engaged over Christmas, which is understood not to be true, although the relationship is believed to be serious.

“They are very much in love,” a friend said, indicating they had not moved in together yet. “They feel very lucky to have found each other and just clicked instantly when they met. It was instant.”

Both are keen dog lovers, with Farrington devoted to her pet pooch Fang and Buttrose having a close companion in his dog Shady.

Farrington is hugely respected in the industry and has long run the top Australian and New Zealand event and PR business Social Diary.

While others have anointed themselves queens of PR locally, Farrington has been in business for more than 20 years and is the real deal, despite preferring to fly under the radar.

Richard Buttrose, 47, served nine years in custody from a 12-year sentence for drug supply after he was caught with a 6kg bag of cocaine and more than $1.3 million in cash.

Since being released from prison, he has focused on putting to use his business degree in financial planning and MBA in finance, both of which he attained while incarcerated.

He now runs a legal advisory business advocating for people who can’t afford lawyers.

He recently advocated for a client in a Land and Environment Court matter, the judgment of which is due in mid January.
