The Myer family held a long-awaited wedding celebration on their spectacular family farm at the weekend.
William Myer, the son of Fiona and Sidney Myer and great grandson of Sidney Myer who founded the Myer department store in 1900, wed wife Sarah in an intimate ceremony at the Toorak family home last year.
Their wedding was cancelled eight days out due to Covid but they proceeded with their nuptials on the original date in March with a small attendance.
The couple then celebrated in style 609 days later in Merricks North at the family farm.
William and Sarah have a seven month-old daughter named Montana.
“609 days later + a baby. I can’t wait to celebrate this moment again @willmyer88,’’ Sarah wrote on Instagram ahead of Saturday.
The couple had officially married on March 27.
“Although it wasn’t what we had planned we’re so grateful for these memories,” Sarah wrote.
She added: “A day we will never forget. Intimate, simple and beautiful.”
Fiona Myer started successful fashion business White Story in 2016, a range of Australian-designed and manufactured shirts for men and women.
She and Sidney have three children, William, Ed and Jess. Ed is due to marry model Georgia Connolly in January next year.
The family farm is a spectacular 16ha retreat 45 kilometres outside Melbourne.
Cranlana in Clendon Road, Toorak was the home of Sidney Myer, Dame Merlyn Myer and their family and it has remained in the Myer family for nearly 100 years.
