Bec Judd has been reunited with the iconic red dress that changed her life.

It was 20 years ago in 2004 when Judd wowed the footy world by stepping out to the Brownlow Medal in the revealing Ruth Tarvydas gown.

Memories of that night, alongside her partner and winner Chris Judd, have come flooding back as Crown Melbourne displays the frock in its Fashions of Crown exhibition in the Atrium as part of its 30th birthday celebrations.

“I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since I wore the red dress to the Brownlow at Crown,’’ Judd said.

“That night definitely changed my life and I’m forever grateful.

“I’ve been visiting this incredible place (Crown Melbourne) for the last 20 years for events, parties, even family staycations — it really holds such a special place for me and my family.

“I remember walking into Crown’s lobby as a young girl who was born and bred in Perth, and it was like, oh my gosh, what is this magical place!”

Judd’s dress features with other notable outfits from Crown’s greatest shows and events over the past three decades, including Judd’s gold J’Aton gown worn to the 2015 Brownlow, Brit Selwood’s 2016 Jason Grech Brownlow dress, Demi Brereton’s red Marquise Bridal Brownlow gown last year and Emma Freedman’s Georgia Young neon green dress also worn to the Brownlow last year.

The Fashions of Crown costume display will be showcased in the Crown Melbourne Atrium until August 22.
