Mother and son team Lenore McDermid and Bradley McLennan promise to deliver fun with a side of sass when the new look House Rules launches next month.
In the first round, the duo will compete against other teams of two renovating a penthouse on the Gold Coast.
“We will bring our fun, bubbly personalities and a little sass to match,” McDermid told Confidential.
“We have determination to finish to the end, which is something we are sure the other teams won’t be expecting. We are here for the long haul.”
The new look House Rules High Stakes will see Jamie Durie and Abbey Gelmi on hosting duties with expert judges Kyly Clarke, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Saul Myers guiding contestants through the competition.
“I have a background in design and mum has got gusto,” McLennan said. “It is the chance to do something together where we will both learn and grow. It isn’t often you get the chance to spend such an intense period of time with a family member. I’ve got such a strong bond with my mother. Even though we are completely different, underneath it all we are so similar. It’s this determination to succeed that made us apply.”
