TWO months after being accused of tweaking a man’s nipple while drunk and vowing to get sober, Grant Hackett’s been snapped drinking red wine with a new lady.

TWO months after being accused of tweaking a man’s nipple while drunk on a plane and vowing to “get off the drink” for the sake of his family, Olympic champion Grant Hackett has been snapped drinking red wine with a new lady.

Photos have surfaced showing the 36-year-old enjoying a glass while getting close with a mystery blonde at the Gold Coast’s Versace restaurant earlier this month.

With a number of glasses of wine and other alcoholic beverages on his table, the swimmer can be seen sipping from a glass of red wine while his new squeeze drapes her arm around him, whispering in his ear.

Hackett split from his wife Candice Alley in 2012, seven months after he went on a drunken rage in their Melbourne apartment, overturning a piano and furniture, smashing doors and putting holes in walls.

They have two children together.

His luxury lunch comes just weeks after he was escorted from a plane via wheelchair because he was unable to walk, after being accused of “tweaking” a fellow passenger’s nipple.

He told reporters shortly after the incident he would be taking some time out to “re-evaluate” his life.

“Being in that state and binge drinking is an issue that I need to address and something I will address,” he said.

“I had not drunk in many months and you get yourself into a situation where you come to the end of a long tether, certainly for me the pressure and the stress of the Olympic trials and all the things that followed beyond that, the expectations, the attention — it’s a lot to deal with.

“I don’t say this as an excuse but I am trying to contextualise the situation, but at the end of the day, getting myself into that situation is not acceptable and something I need to remedy.”
